Behold! The new Florida minimum wage of $10 per hour, effective 9/30/21. Fla. Const. art. X, s. 24(c). This is just friendly reminder to Florida’s businesses to make sure to increase the minimum wage for hourly non-exempt employees to $10.00 on or before September 30th. For those in the service industry, that’ll be $6.98 per hour for tipped employees.

The federal minimum wage remains at $7.25 per hour, but a failure to increase the rate of pay in compliance with the new Florida rate can still subject you to litigation.
