Add These to Your "To-do-before September-30th" List!!

September 25, 2025 Shaina Thorpe

Pictured above—September 30th.

This is your friendly reminder that on September 30, 2025, the Florida minimum wage increases. For tipped employees, the minimum wage will become $10.98 per hour and for non-tipped employees, the minimum wage will become $14.00 per hour. Be sure to not only adjust your payroll systems, but to modify the workplace postings, which can be found for free by clicking right here.

In addition, most Florida counties and municipalities require businesses and even individuals in certain professions to renew their licenses by September 30th each year. A failure to pay the renewal fee by then can result in increased fees or penalties.

TL;DR: Be sure to check whether you need to have a license for the location and type of business you engage in and that your licenses have been renewed!

***Though not legally required, don’t forget to prepare to wake up Green Day.
