After almost 10 years—my client and I had our trial in federal court this past week and I am so very, very happy to announce—WE WON!!!!! The jury awarded my client $234,000 in back pay, $500,000 in emotional damages, and $1 million in punitive damages. I am so grateful to the members of the jury who served and rendered a true and correct verdict. Many thanks to my client, Thurman Goodman, Jr., who has never faltered in his faith in me, and my assistant, Leah Reeder, who was an invaluable asset to the process of getting to and through trial. While these results cannot be expected in all cases (each case is unique and individual), all positive outcomes deserve to be celebrated.
